My Graphics
I take special care in focusing not just on the broad picture of my projects but also on the tiny details. Making an effective graphic is like putting together a puzzle. Knowing what the end goal is the first step. Then, knowing what visual design elements to add is crucial for effective design.
WSU Greek Life Formal Recruitment "More Than Letters" Campaign
This campaign focused on the most positive aspects of Greek Life. That is why I chose the motto "More Than Letters". Bringing literal Greek aspects into this campaign included Apollo's harp in each graphic. As someone who represents knowledge, youth and harmony it was only fitting that his symbol would be included. I also included "Go Cougs" in every graphic to tie the information back to WSU.
Greek Week "One Week One Purpose" Campaign
This week is dedicated to chapter competitions and philanthropy. I worked with the Panhellenic Public Relations Director to create these graphics. We decided to go with a Y2K aesthetic to create visual interest in the design. We mainly did this by incorporating chrome + chromatic apparated text and symbols into the graphics.
WSU Fraternity Highlight Campaign
In order to lift up chapters and the community I decided to make a semester long chapter highlight campaign. I took and edited each photo to use as a background picture. Then I collected the basic information about each fraternity from chapter PR chairs.
Unanimous Poster
Using one of my photos and one my friend took I used the outline of the figures to make a poster about relationships. I played around a lot with texture and color to get the look I wanted.
"Don't Blink" Poster
This poster was a class project which had two main constraints. The project had to be under a specific theme. For this one I chose dread. The second constraint was the text had to be analog. I first created the "Don't Blink" using a toothbrush and ink. I then imported it into photoshop and gave it color and texture. The photo is a picture of my own eye edited to bring out the details within the iris. To finish the project, I added halftone texture and grain to give it a movie poster look.
